I’m probably a little biased, since she’s my wife, but I’m a big, big fan of Stephanie Riesland Photography.
She asked me to design a website for her, and the pressure was on!
It was a great experience because she had some specific ideas about what she wanted, but needed help thinking through the possibilities and cost/benefit.
The toughest decision was whether or not to go with flash, which is very common on photography websites, but also tends to lead to very heavy-weight, slow-loading sites.
In the end, we decided try and do as much as we could with javascript, jquery, and good old fashion HTML.
We started with wordpress and a simple photography-oriented theme and built up from there, and I think the results are great!
